After making incalculable sacrifice and working very hard to make a career change into aviation, I was able to enjoy my job as an airline pilot for almost a year. In response to a dramatic reduction in block hours by Delta, my airline (ASA) laid off 80...then 60 more pilots
Will we go back to work? I hope so...but it won't be soon
In the meantime...
I'm a web developer again! After taking a 4 year break to pursue flight training and the first steps toward my career, it's been a refreshing, exciting change to be back in the game with software development. The tools are so much more mature! The clients are more sophisticated! The projects are more demanding!
